Qatar- Iraqi PM Dismisses Security Officials After Baghdad Bombing


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Baghdad, July 08 (QNA) - Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Al Abadi dismissed on Friday a number of senior security officials in the wake of the Baghdad bombing that left at least 292 people dead and nearly 200 injured.
In his capacity as general commander of the Iraqi armed forces, Al Abadi relieved the Baghdad operations commander and a number of security and intelligence officers of their duties.
Al Abadi had accepted the resignation of Interior Minister Mohammed Salem Al Ghabban on Wednesday after the attack. (QNA)
