Qatar- Suicide Bomber Kills 2 Civilians, Injures Several in E. Afghanistan
(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Kabul, July 02 (QNA) - A suicide bomber targeting a tribal elder in eastern Afghanistan killed two civilians including a child on Saturday.
Haji Hayat Khan, a tribal elders who supports forces fighting against the ISIS group and Taliban militants in Nangarhar province, was unharmed.
"Eleven others, including another child, were wounded in the attack in Jalalabad city," governor''s spokesman Attaullah Khugyani said.
No group claimed immediate responsibility for the attack.
Tribal elders in the province have become targets of suicide bombers because of their affiliation with the government or opposition to Taliban and ISIS militants.
Thirteen people including tribal elder Obaidullah Shinwari and 14 wounded by a suicide attacker inside Shinwari''s home earlier this year. The ISIS group claimed responsibility for the attack. (QNA)
