Arab League condemns Bahrain attack


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, July 2 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit condemned on Saturday what he described as a "terrorist" blast that struck East Eker village, south of Manama, Bahrain yesterday, killing a woman and wounding three children.

In a press statement, Aboul-Gheit said that Arab League denounces all manifestations of terrorism and supports all measures to be taken by Bahrain to maintain its safety and security.

On Thursday, the Bahraini foreign ministry announced that a terrorist act had taken the life of a Bahraini woman and had wounded three children who were in the company of the woman. The woman and the children were in a car that passed the spot where a terrorist blast went off, some of its shrapnel hitting the car and its occupants.
