Israeli warplanes hit positions, workshop

Date:

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, July 2 (KUNA) -- Israeli warplanes bombed a number of Palestinian positions in Gaza early on Saturday, security sources reported.

The sources said the warplanes fired rockets at positions of Al-Qassam Brigades south of Gaza city, Bait Lahia and a metal workshop in Hey Al-Zaitoun as well as other locations in Bait Hanoun.

The strikes inflicted damage, but no injuries.

The air attacks came after a rocket fired from Gaza hit the Israeli settlement Sderot, inflicting some damage.

Israeli warplanes often target metal workshops in Gaza for suspicion they are used to produce short range missiles. (end) nq.rk
