The initiative aims to support more than 191 private schools in Upper Egypt governorates, such as Assiut, Qena, Sohag and Minya.

Further, the bank is working on another initiative to connect 2,000 homes to potable water systems in Assiut villages, also in cooperation with Misr El-Kheir Foundation. The initiative''s beneficiaries reached 9,000 in 2015. This is expected to increase to 3,000 homes with 13,500 beneficiaries during 2016.

Moreover, Credit Agricole Egypt puts great importance on the health sector by supporting the 57357 Hospital for Childhood Cancer.

The bank helped establish an ophthalmology clinic and a specialised operations room at Imbaba Hospital by providing the operating theatre with the latest medical equipment so as to be eligible to perform 1,000 operations per year. This also helps the hospital to provide medical care to 400 patients per month, as part of the development of the former airport area in Imbaba. This plan, which was launched in 2012, will achieve comprehensive development in health and education sectors as well as the environment.
