UAE President awards Zayed the Second Medal to Omani ambassador

ABU DHABI, 29th June 2016 (WAM) --- President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has awarded the Zayed the Second Medal of the second order, the UAE''s highest honour to foreign ambassadors, to Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Ali Al Qatabi, in appreciation of the efforts he made during his tenure to promote fraternal relations between the two countries in several spheres.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, presented Ambassador Al Qatabi with the honour at his office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

He wished the Omani envoy success in his future assignments and praised his role in enhancing fraternal relations between the UAE and Oman in all spheres.

On his part, the ambassador expressed his great appreciation and thanks for His Highness Sheikh Khalifa and praised his wise policy and the outstanding role he plays at the regional and international levels.

He further thanked all government authorities in the UAE for their cooperation which, he noted, has contributed to the success of his mission of enhancing relations between the two countries.
