Bank Sohar supports Omani Society for the Hearing Impaired

In its most recent corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity, Bank Sohar extended its support and donated to the Omani Society for the Hearing Impaired for the second consecutive year.

Marking the bank''s seventh donation in the current year, these funds will contribute towards the purchase of special hearing aid sets for the members of the association.

The donation cheque was handed over to Hamood Nasser al Shezani, deputy chairman of the Omani Society for the Hearing Impaired, by Mazin Mahmood al Raisi, Sr AGM head of marketing and customer experience at Bank Sohar''s head office in MBD.

Munira Abdulnabi Macki, GM of HR and corporate support at Bank Sohar said, ''We at Bank Sohar have always been dedicated towards improving the quality of life of those in need.

''We strive to achieve this through our various contributions and partnerships with associations such as the Omani Society for the Hearing Impaired under the framework of our CSR activities.''

He added, ''With this objective in mind, I sincerely hope that the support given to the association in order to purchase these hearing aids has a tangible positive impact on the daily lives of the members that use them.''

Sultan Nasser al Amri, chairman of the Omani Society for the Hearing Impaired said, ''On behalf of everyone here at the Omani Society for the Hearing Impaired, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Bank Sohar for their support, both for this year and last year. These special hearing aids make life easier by enabling individuals hear clearly even in noisy environments. I am confident that these aids will greatly benefit the members, helping them lead normal lives without any hindrances.''
