Brazil records poorest deficit figures in 20 years

(MENAFN) Brazil's reported the worst primary deficit figures in 20 years throughout the first five months of this year, based on the latest reports.

The reports unveiled that the nation had a main deficit of USD7.2bn over the cited period, which further proves the disastrous plummet it's currently facing.

Consequently, the state gross revenue accumulated to USD138.25 billion through the mentioned timeframe, up 3.1 percent from the same period last year.

Basically, Brazil fended off the results of the 2008 global downturn with stimulus spending, and is trying to again inject money into the economy to spur demand.
