N. Korea, S. Korea proceed with trade ties' elimination

(MENAFN) North Korea intends to liquidate all South Korean Assets within the country, therefore effectively ending all the remaining economic relations between the two neighbors.

The crucial decision comes in response to new sanctions imposed by South Korea on its northern neighbor earlier this week, which all began with N. Korea's testing of a hydrogen bomb in January.

The S. Korean assets in question are located at the Kaesong industrial park and a tourist resort, both former joint schemes between the two states that failed under the weight of political pressures.

Moreover, North Korea has also recently launched two short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea in what military officials in South Korea defined as another attempt at provocation.
