Saudi King condemns Ataturk Airport terrorist attacks


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, June 29 (KUNA) -- King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud has condemned the "terrorist" attacks that targeted the Ataturk Airport in Turkey''s Istanbul on Tuesday.

In a cable to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, relayed by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Monarch expressed condolences and sympathy to the Turkish state and people over the victims of the attacks.

Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Interior Prince Mohammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent a similar cable to President Erdogan.

The Tuesday attacks claimed the lives of at least 36 people and wounded scores. (end) nh.msa
