Iran, Turkmenistan wrap up joint USD2.5b trade pact


(MENAFN) Iran and Turkmenistan have concluded their recent USD2.5 billion deal, as over 150 Iranian companies are now active in Turkmenistan, based on the latest reports.

The Republic will ship in nearly USD30 billion worth of gas from Turkmenistan in the following 10 years, while exporting USD30 billion worth of technical and engineering goods.

In particular, senior officials of the Islamic Republic and Turkmenistan are making special efforts to develop trade transactions and increase the volume of commercial exchanges.

"Participating in trade exhibitions is one suggestion from Trade Promotion Organization of Iran in order to expand our presence in target markets," said a top Iranian official.
