Jordan- King visits border guards unit, joins its personnel for iftar

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, June 28 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Tuesday evening visited a border guards unit at the eastern front.

Upon arrival, King Abdullah was received by the King''s Military Adviser and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff and Gen. Mashal Al Zaben and Border Guards Commander.

His Majesty performed the Maghreb prayers and had iftar with the unit''s personnel.

The King praised border guards'' efforts in dealing with various challenges, saying that the terrorist cowardly act, which targeted a military post for serving Syrian refugees on Jordan''s northeastern front, won''t keep the army''s soldiers and security personnel from performing their national role with courage, professionalism and responsibility.
