DOHA: Pakistan Professionals Forum Qatar (PPFQ) recently organised a Farewell Iftar dinner at Zoaq Restaurant Ezdan Mall Doha for Pakistan Embassy Officials. The farewell was attended by prominent Pakistani community members and other Pakistani Forum Representatives.

Rashid Nizam, Welfare Attaché, and Commodore Masud Akram Defence Attaché, were the outgoing officials from the Embassy. Commercial Secretary Arbabqaiser and Goharriyaz were present on the occasion. Representatives from Pakistan welfare forum, Pakistan Business Forum & Pakistan Arts society were represented by Raiyaz Ahmed Bakali, Adeel, Ajmal. Commodore Masud Akram said: “I used to look after the defence corporation between Pakistan and Qatar. It was a very rewarding experience. In terms of achievements, I have done a lot of work for Pakistan and Qatar’s welfare. The training in army is also given by the Pakistani trainers; Shamaal camp has 20 Pakistani trainers. For the first time in the history of Qatar Pakistani pilots have come to train. Recently the deal of Super Mushshak basic flight trainers got approved. I was working on this since last three years”.

Rashid Nizam, Welfare Attaché, said: “I have looked after the forums that come under the Embassy and for the welfare we used to conduct seminars, meetings and various workshops. I used to suggest them in every possible way they can help Pakistanis. I have served the Embassy for three and a half years,” he said.

Uzma Shehreyar, President of PPFQ said: “We are very grateful to Pakistan Embassy for their continued patronage and support. We would like to thank the outgoing officials for all their efforts over the years and wish them well for the future,”.

Chairman Mohsin said: “I would like to thank the Embassy for their continuous support and encouragement for PPFQ since its inception. We appreciate the cooperation we have enjoyed from the outgoing staff members and hope receives the same support going forward. We are also especially thankful for the guidance and support we have received from Shahzad Ahmad, the Ambassador of Pakistan. PPFQ will continue to deliver on its one point agenda of improving the image of Pakistan amongst the various communities in Qatar,”
