beIN introduces 4K media server in Oman

beIN launches its beIN 4K media server in time for football fans to enjoy this year''s top sporting event, UEFA Euro 2016, in 4K. beIN will broadcast all four quarter final matches, semi-final matches and the final in 4K and will ensure a constant supply of 4K content through collaboration with various other entertainment and sports partners.

The new 4K media server is now available with Mustafa Sultan Electronics, Al-Khuwayr.

beIN is the first pay-TV platform in the region to introduce the 4K technology that is quickly taking over the mainstream video ecosystem. The new beIN 4K media server offers complete PVR functionality and will be able to broadcast TV signal at 3,840 pixels (horizontally) x 2,160 lines (vertically).

This resolution is four times better than the conventional HD resolution, offering the beIN audience an unprecedented TV experience.

The newly introduced beIN 4K media server has a 1TB built-in hard drive and personal video recorder. It can also record up to three channels while watching a fourth one live and allows viewers to pause and rewind their favourite programs.

The beIN Media Group, which is the leading provider for sports channels in broadcasting all live action of global sport events has announced five packages, keeping different nationality sports viewers in mind and also boosting the entertainment experience.

The first package is the Access package, which has 26 HD channels. The second package is the Top Entertainment package, which has 13 extra channels compared with the Access package.

The third package is the Top Sports package, which contains the channels in the Access package as well as 14 extra Premium HD sports channels. The fourth one is the complete package, which contains all the channels from the aforementioned packages.

The last package is the Euro 2016 package that is currently broadcasting. The Copa America footballtournament is also available on the Euro 2016 package. The new packages facilitate customers to choose depending upon their interest and budget.
