France condemns E. Lebanon bombings


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) PARIS, June 27 (KUNA) -- France on Monday condemned a series of suicide bombings that killed several people in Eastern Lebanon earlier in the day.

The death toll is still not confirmed but at least five died and many were injured in a series of coordinated suicide attacks in the village of Al-Qaa in the east of the country near the border with Syria.

Paris sent condolences to the families of the victims and expressed solidarity with those wounded.

"France will continue to assume its full share of the support provided by the international community for the stability and security of Lebanon and its institutions," a Foreign Ministry statement said. (end) jk.mt
