Nigeria tries everything to prevent looming economic collapse

(MENAFN) Nigeria blamed its current economic problems on faulty economic policies and overdependence on oil incomes, according to the latest reports.

Nigeria, which is Africa's largest oil producer and the most powerful economy, has been struggling with problems caused by global oil price fall for more than a year.

Nigeria remarked that OPEC has to be mindful of economic issues in each member nation, because that will affect that country's ability to go along with OPEC decisions.

Authorities stressed that it'll not devalue the naira currency or lift strict foreign exchange controls that critics say have stifled investment and growth in the import-dependent nation.
