UAE- Aswan Governor hails Al Maktoum Foundation's efforts in humanitarian work

ASWAN, 27th June, 2016 (WAM) -- The Governor of Aswan, Major General Magdy Hegazy, has hailed the Al Maktoum Foundation''s keenness on delivering assistance to beneficiaries.

While meeting with Dr. Salah Al Deen Ja''farawi, the foundation''s adviser in Egypt, Hegazy extended thanks and appreciation to the officials of the charitable body. During a phone call with Mirza Al Sayegh, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Al Maktoum Foundation, Hegazy extended an invitation to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Patron of the Foundation, to visit Aswan to get acquainted with the governorate''s efforts to avoid the consequences of tourism recession and the establishment of tourist development projects that serve society and the population of Aswan.

Al Ja''farawi said that the foundation, since the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan, has distributed 20,000 food parcels in all Egyptian governorates. He added that the philanthropic foundation patronises a number of poor families and has established a number of development projects in Egypt.
