Al Arabi and Norwegian envoy discuss support for France's Middle East peace initiative

CAIRO, 27th June, 2016 (WAM) -- The Arab League Secretary-General, Dr. Nabil Al Arabi, met on Sunday with the Norwegian Envoy for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland.

Al Arabi said that the meeting focused on the requirements of supporting the French initiative for reviving the Middle East peace process and the means to achieve its goals. The Norwegian envoy voiced his country''s desire to play a role in supporting the French initiative, Al Arabi added.

Al Arabi told reporters that he had informed the Norwegian envoy that the Arab League considers talking about negotiations between Palestine and Israel, without actual action, is a waste of time. He went on to say that the Arab League calls for implementation of international resolutions.
