UAE- Minister of State for Higher Education, Japanese Ambassador discuss cooperation

ABU DHABI, 26th June, 2016 (WAM) -- Dr. Ahmad bin Abdulla Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education, has received Kanji Fujiki, Ambassador of Japan to the UAE to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries and improve higher education and the quality of scientific research in undergraduate education.

The meeting, which took place at the ministry, dealt with the strategic plans developed by the ministry to support the UAE''s Vision 2021, and strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors and encourage applied research to serve the goals of sustainable development in the country.

Ambassador Fujiki expressed his delight at the growth of co-operation with the UAE in the field of education and scientific research, through a Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier, in support of the UAE''s Vision 2021 and serving its goals of sustainable development.
