Tunisia to get 100 MW of electricity from Algeria


(MENAFN) The Tunisian Co. of Elect and Gas (STEG) signed trade deals with Algeria in order to get 100 MW to be used in case of growing demand during the season of consumption.

Accordingly, the maximum consumption will reach 3.900 megawatt against 3.594 megawatts due to increasing temperatures.

Additionally, the official didn't rule the possibility of resorting to voluntary power cuts in order to preserve the network.

The use of voluntary power cut is in force in all nations, which doesn't concern important and sovereign institutions.
