GCC representatives slam UN Advisor's statements against Bahrain

NEW YORK, 26th June, 2016 (WAM) -- Permanent Representatives of the GCC to the United Nations have expressed their rejection of the statements made by a UN Advisor, describing them as "an interference in Bahrain''s internal affairs and a breach of his mandate as advisor".

Bahrain News Agency, BNA, reported that in a letter addressed to UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, the GCC delegates expressed their protest over the comments, and underlined Bahrain''s sovereign right to enforce its laws, as part of its constitutional and legal guarantees and procedures, on which autonomous, judicial processes are based.
