Turkey condemns terrorist attack in Mogadishu


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, June 26 (KUNA) -- International condemnation continued to pour against the terrorist attack on a hotel in the Somali capital Mogadishu, an act which left over 10 people dead.

In a statement by the Foreign Ministry Sunday, Turkey strongly condemned the attack, which hit Mogadishu late Saturday.

The terrorist act, involving a booby-trapped car, was targeting Somali MPs and senior state officials staying in the hotel.

Turkey expressed its sorrow over the incident, wishing a speedy recovery for those who were injured in the attack. The act was claimed by Al-Shabab group. (end) ta.gta
