Jordan to sign deal with EU for energy projects at USD101.51mn


(MENAFN) Jordan will sign a deal with the EU granting the kingdom almost USD101.51mn in order to support renewable energy projects.

Furthemore, the grant will fund the second phase of the renewable energy program, while the first stage of the project will cost USD45.41mn.

The kingdom emphaszied the project's contribution to the national plan for the energy sector, which will help build institutional and technical capabilities.

The two-year project offered important technical help to the Jordan National Building Council will implement new codes for energy efficiency in construction.
