Morocco's economy grows to 1.2 percent in 2016


(MENAFN) Morocco's economic growth is predicted to reach 1.2 percent this year, taking account of a better agricultural production than March, except for cereals.

Meanwhile, agricultural production, excluding cereals would be higher than predicted in March.

However, nonagricultural GDP growth is kept at 2.8 percent, whereas GDP growth is predicted at 1.2 percent.

By 2017, the growth expected to accelerate to 4 percent, with increases by 10 percent in agricultural value added and 3.2 Pct in nonagricultural GDP.
