(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Chevrolet will offer Apple CarPlay compatibility in 12 vehicles starting from the 2016 and 2017 model year.

Chevrolet''s MyLink infotainment system, with phone integration technology, gives owners access to Apple CarPlay while driving. CarPlay takes certain iPhone features and integrates them on the vehicle''s display. That allows drivers to make calls, send and receive messages and listen to music or podcasts from the touchscreen or via Siri.
Many features can be controlled via voice commands through a button on the steering wheel.
Apple CarPlay requires an iPhone 5 or updated version.
