CAIRO, 21st June, 2016 (WAM) -- Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi, Arab League Secretary-General, has expressed support for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its backing of judicial steps to regulate the work of social and non-governmental organisations.

In a statement, Dr. Al-Arabi affirmed support for the measures which, he said, comply with national laws and legislation and aim to maintain Bahrain''s security and stability and protect national unity.

He re-affirmed the support of the Arab League for the reform project led by H.M. King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and the rejection of any external interference in Bahrain''s internal affairs.
