UAE- ERC receives cash donation from philanthropist

ABU DHABI, 21st June, 2016 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has received AED500,000 from Suhail bin Marzouq Al Ameri, and his brothers, to support the foundation''s humanitarian programmes locally.

This came during the visit of an ERC delegation, led by Salim Al Rees Al Ameri, Acting Deputy Secretary-General for Fundraising and Marketing, to Al Ameri''s residence in Al Ain.

The visit is part of the field visits paid by the foundation staff to philanthropists and donors who support its projects, especially during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Al Ameri expressed his appreciation of the growing role of the ERC in the humanitarian field locally, regionally and globally. He added that the ERC''s stature is a source of pride for every Emirati.

Salem Al Ameri praised the initiatives of the philanthropist and his brothers for responding to the calls of the foundation for the benefit of urgent humanitarian issues both inside and outside the country.
