Egypt's auto firms experience decline in car sales


(MENAFN) Auto assembly companies' performance indicators exposed drop amid the Jan-April period of this year.

Furthermore, the decline experienced by the local market is due to the lack of US dollars, which bought the sales of passenger cars down by 30 percent.

However, car sales fell down by 29.3 percent during the cited period of 2016, a slight improvement of the market after posting a decline of 31.2 percent.

The market viewed the trade of 66,400 units from early Jan until the end of April, compared to 93,900 units in a year-on-year comparison.
