(MENAFN) Amec Foster Wheeler, a leading engineering and project management firm, has won a three-year framework agreement by BP Iraq.
Under the agreement, AFW will complete conceptual studies and pre-front end engineering design (Feed) work at its Rumaila oil field in the oil-rich country.
Additionally, Amec will boost the company to increase and improve production at the giant oil field located in the southern region of the country.
It's worth mentioning that Rumaila is one of the world's largest oil fields, and it was established in 1954. The Average daily production in 2014 was 1.34 million bpd.
