Saudi Arabia aims to launch "Energy City"


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia plans to set up "Energy City" as part of Saudi Vision 2030, in order to attract major firms in energy industries to the city.

Meanwhile, the kingdom also aims to raise regional inputs in energy and petrochemical industries to 75 percent.

Accordingly, Saudi Aramco will invest in renewable energy and stimulate other industries in order to supplement oil production.

Moreover, the kingdom also aims to double its gas production from the recent discoveries in conventional and shale gas field.
