Qatar- Indian mission to mark International Day of Yoga tomorrow

Doha: The Indian Embassy organised a Yoga for Health and Wellness event at Al Waha Club in Al Khor Community on Saturday as part of Second International Day of Yoga (IDY) celebrations,.

The programme, in cooperation with Qatari authorities and the Indian community in Al Khor and other community fora, included remarks by Ambassador Sanjiv Arora; a documentary on IDY; and yoga sessions by experts from Aspire Academy and Heartfulness.

Ambassador Arora also presented books on yoga.

The Embassy is organising, in cooperation with the Qatari government and community organisations, a public event to mark IDY at Al Gharafa Sports Club Indoor Hall tomorrow at 9pm.

Meanwhile, The Right Reverend Michael Lewis, Bishop in Cyprus and the Gulf of the Episcopal Church, accompanied by Father Paul Davies, Senior Priest of The Anglican Church of Epiphany in Qatar, met Indian Ambassador to Qatar Sanjiv Arora and discussed issues of mutual interest.
