Announcing the Second World Congress on Embryo Transfer & Intrauterine Insemination at Ahungalla, Sri Lanka

AHUNGALLA, SRI LANKA, June 18, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Reproductive health professionals receive training in various aspects of Assisted Reproductive Technology and other procedures comprising infertility treatment. There is, however, a widespread gap in training in Embryo Transfer. The IVF Lite Foundation has announced The Second World Congress on Embryo Transfer & Intrauterine Insemination to be held from 8th to 11th December at the Heritance Ahungalla, Sri Lanka. The objective of this unique landmark Meeting for ART professionals who perform the Embryo Transfer procedure is to learn the common best practices in Embryo Transfer.
The main Meeting at the Heritance Ahungalla, South Sri Lanka, will have two halls running simultaneously; in one all aspects of Intrauterine Insemination will be discussed threadbare & in the other hall, the focus will be exclusively on Embryo Transfer & its role in Assisted Conception. The main objective of this Meeting is to give an updated overview on all aspects of Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) & Embryo Transfer (ET). Emphasis will be given on interactive discussions between participants and experts on practical issues of the subjects under discussion. The target audience of this meeting is the Clinicians, Laboratory Staff, Nurses, Coordinators & other related persons working in the field of Assisted Reproduction & Intrauterine Insemination. The IVF Lite Foundation - a non-profit Registered Charity with the Government of India is endorsing the Congress & the Conference Abstracts will be indexed in the Journal of Minimal Stimulation IVF (IVF Lite).
After a six year hiatus, the Scientific Committee at IVF Lite Foundation have designed a very busy & contemporary academic program on the subject: The Second World Congress on Embryo Transfer & Intrauterine Insemination. This has been done in conjunction with the Italian society of Sterility & Fertility (SIFES), Turkish Society for Reproductive Medicine (TSRM), Society of Cross Border Reproductive Care (SCBRC) & the World Association of Reproductive Medicine (WARM). The entire event is organized by the International Medical Event Management Company: Zimt Conferences & Seminars Organizing Company, Dubai who have successfully conducted the WOOSP meetings globally.
A dedicated Hall for topics pertaining to IUI on all the meeting days aims to make an update on the topic of ''Intrauterine Insemination'', bringing together many world experts in this field of Assisted Reproduction. The scientific deliberations will cover all aspects related to IUI: evidence-based data on the value of IUI, health economics & cost-effectiveness, methodological aspects, sperm preparation techniques & prevention of infection, media supplements and anti-oxidants, factors influencing success rates, ICMR guidelines, IUI for lesbians & singles, low-cost IUI options in resource-poor countries & associated ovarian stimulation protocols.
This program brings together an internationally renowned faculty to present the latest developments in every phase of in vitro fertilization and embryo management. The course addresses the needs of practicing scientists, gynecologists, reproductive endocrinologists, residents, and fellows who wish to review the specialty and update their knowledge in this rapidly changing and expanding field. The conference setting promotes extensive contact among speakers and participants with question periods, panels, and many opportunities for informal interaction. A very extensive course syllabus in the form of a Monograph, now in its second Edition will be available onsite.
Particular attention will be devoted this year to the rapidly expanding trend toward deferred embryo transfer, new testing for endometrial receptivity, oocyte and embryo cryopreservation, time lapse imaging of early embryo development, the critical role of embryo energy supplies, mitochondrial DNA as a biomarker for embryo competence, the role of CoQ10 in improving mitochondrial function in ageing women, practical aspects of ultrasound-guided transfer technique, and next generation techniques for PGS. A laboratory mini-symposium directed by Esther Velila & Goral Gandhi will cover time lapse imaging, new methods of embryo culture, oocyte and embryo vitrification, and comprehensive chromosome screening.
