Oman- Missing fuel station supervisor found murdered near Ibri

The missing fuel station supervisor, John Philip, was found murdered at a place near Ibri at around 7pm on Wednesday.

An ROP official has said that a murder investigation is underway.

Philip, an Indian expat, was the supervisor of a petrol pump located on the Ibri-Buraimi road. He was missing since Friday night. He was doubling up as an attendant on the day of the incident.

About RO5,000 was also missing from the petrol pump''s safe box.

A colleague had filed robbery and missing complaints with the Hafeet police station in Buraimi after Philip''s resident card and his mobile phone were found in the office room. His colleague found a tissue paper with blood stains and CCTV system destroyed. The incident was first brought to the notice of authorities by another attendant the next day.
