Saudi Arabia supports Bahrain's counterterrorism efforts


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, June 18 (KUNA) --Saudi Arabia said late Friday that it supports all judicial steps undertaken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to counter terrorism and extremism, said a Foreign Ministry source.

The source told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that Saudi Arabia stood in solidarity with Bahrain in its efforts to safeguard and maintain its national security.

Recently, Bahrain''s High Criminal Court has sentenced 13 defendants to 15 years in jail and 22 others to three years'' sentences on a number of charges, including terrorism.

The GCC nation also issued verdicts against 10 convicts linked to the so-called "Hezbollah of Bahrain". (end) nh.gta
