Kuwait bourse stops trading in Americana stocks

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, June 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Bourse Company on Thursday announced it will stop trading in Americana Group''s stocks, until a statement is issued on news of new negotiations to sell the company to Gulf investors, published by a local newspaper.
Last February, investment firm Adeptio, led by prominent Dubai businessman Mohamed Al-Abbar agreed to buy 69 percent of Americana from Al-Khair for Stocks and Real Estate company, controlled by Al-Kharafi family. However, the sales operation failed when Adeptio decided to lower Americana''s evaluation.(end) ht.amh.ag
