Qatar- QDF to provide scholarships for 10 students from Swaziland


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Qatar Development Fund (QDF) has signed a $1,969,588 grant agreement to support scholarship costs of Qatar Aeronautical College for 10 students from Swaziland.

The support covers tuition fees and living costs for the students within the specific period of study until graduation, in coordination with Swaziland government.

The agreement was signed by Misfir Hamad Al Shahwani, Director, Fund Development Projects, QDF and Sheikh Jabor bin Hamad Al Thani, Director-General of the college and Swaziland’s Ambassador to Qatar Felizwe P Dlamini.

Al Shahwani said QDF is a public entity to coordinate and implement foreign assistance on behalf of Qatar. By signing the agreement, QDF seeks to build capacity and increase the competencies of students in Swaziland in the civil aviation field to enhance development efforts in Swaziland by supporting tuition costs, in collaboration with the college.

He said the grant is part of support for developing countries and focuses on education and investment in the human development sector.

It also serves as support for sustainable development efforts undertaken by Swaziland.
