Aramco, Petronas agree on USD12bn projects

(MENAFN) Saudi Aramco and Malaysia's Petronas said they are seeking banks proposals to finance nearly USD7 billion to launch a plant and petrochemical projects in Malaysia.

The lenders are asked to finance the two projects worth approximately USD12 billion to be built by Petronas and Aramco.

These mega projects have come after Aramco and Petronas signed a memorandum of understanding, the sources said.

However, a Petronas spokesman couldn't be contacted for comments by phone. Saudi Aramco's media refused to comment.
