The Indian Consulate encapsulated its activities with regular day schools, yoga schools and corporate entities to create awareness of yoga by holding special one-on-one sessions which were widely publicized on the website and its social media platforms.

Anurag Bhushan, Consul General of India said: “We are glad to announce that we have been ably supported by our partners Dubai Sports Council while our other other main supporters include the Apparel Group and X Yoga. I acknowledge with thanks all their support in making this event a great success. We believe that the theme of the event for this year which is centered on ‘Health, Harmony and Happiness’ is in line with the vision of Dubai to promote this wonderful city as the epicenter of health and happiness and we are extremely proud to be holding our event alongside the residents of this city.

Encouraged by the success of the IYD 2015, the events this year are being organized in two venues in the Dubai World Centre. Considering the holy month of Ramadan, the event at Venue II has been staggered by 30 minutes, to facilitate those observing the fast and the opening of the Iftaar.”

The Chief Guest of this event is Yogrishi Swami Ramdevji and will be guiding the participants at both venues. The programmes at Venue I include Dr. Bharat Thakur on Health, Harmony & Happiness and a ‘Learn to Mediate Session’ by Sister Jayanti Kirpalani from the Raja Yoga Centre. The other programmes at Venue II include a Session on ‘Heartfulness Relaxation and Meditation’ by Mr. Pierre Ravan and ‘Handling Stress at Work Place’ by Mr. Vinay Kapoor of The Art of Living. The Gates open at 6.00 p m onwards for Venue I and 7.00 onwards for Venue II.
