Qatar- Two Lebanese Ministers Resign

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Beirut, June 14 (QNA) - Lebanese Kataeb Party has decided to resign from the government, MP Sami Gemayel announced in a news conference on Tuesday.

"We participated in the government to preserve institutions and to reject vacuum," Gemayel was quoted by Lebanon National News Agency (NNA), while announcing the withdrawal of Ministers of Labor and Economy from the government.

"We consider that we have at least preserved this state while we were in office," he said.
"They have been trying to suffocate us through mechanisms, only to prevent us from stopping the deals they have been making," he continued. "[The government] is not concerned with protecting banks from verbal attacks; it paid no heed to the economic plan submitted by the Minister of Economy." (QNA)
