Jordan- Hot weather to continue until Wednesday


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, June 14 ( Petra ) -- A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Tuesday creating hot conditions in most regions across the Kingdom.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk blowing dust in the Badia region.

Similar weather conditions will continue to prevail on Wednesday, the JMD added.

A tangible drop in temperatures is forecast on Thursday becoming around their seasonal average for this time of the year. Therefore, it will be moderate in the hilly areas, but relatively hot in the Badia and plains and hot in the Jordan Valley , Aqaba and the Dead Sea . Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk blowing dust in the Badia region.

Temperatures in Amman for today will reach a high of 37 degrees Celsius and a low of 23, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will hit 44 degrees Celsius dropping to 30 degrees at night.
