Iran to upgrade numerous oil refineries


(MENAFN) Private firms in Iran are developing the Siraf condensate refinery complex at the southern port of Assaluyeh in Bushehr Province, based on the latest reports.

In accordance, the planned complex of eight units, each with a capacity of nearly 60,000 barrels a day, will eventually process condensate from South Pars into naphtha.

Additionally, Isfahan, Tabriz, Tehran, Bandar Abbas and Abadan refineries are to be upgraded, not to mention the government will pay for Abadan plant's modernization.

Iran plans also to build three new refineries; the 300k bpd Bahmangenoo plant at the port of Jask, a 150k bpd facility at Anahita and the Pars refinery, which will process 120k bpd.
