Qatar takes part in Holy Quran contest in Turkey
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Qatar, represented by Mohammed Abdullah Mohammed Belidah, is participating in the fourth International Memorisation and Recitation of the Holy Quran Competition in Turkey. The Qatari is competing along with 89 reciters from 55 countries being held at Fatih Mosque in central Istanbul.
The contest aims to promote the Quranic culture and encourage memorisation and recitation of the Holy Book.
