Qatar- Eid Charity builds 6,000 mosques across world


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) DOHA: Eid Charity has completed 6,000 mosques all over the world, funded by people in Qatar in the past two decades.

The philanthropists provided QR16m to build 248 mosques during first half of this year. The highest number of mosques at 3,500 was built in Asian countries, followed by 2,700 in Africa, Europe, America and Australia, QNA reports.

Yemen received the highest number of mosques followed by Pakistan, Sudan, Mauritania, Indonesia, Somalia and Niger. Some 1,200 to 185 mosques were built in those countries.
