Oman- OCCI organises seminar on Hydrocarbon Gas Technology

An introductory seminar on hydrocarbongas Technology was held at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) headquarters on Monday.

The seminar highlighted the importance of the use of hydrocarbon gas technology as an alternative to chlorofluorocarbon gases which is used in air conditioners and refrigeration products, heating and other equipment operating under pressure gas systems.

Organised by Manar al Noor Company, in cooperation with OCCI, the opening ceremony of the seminar was held under the patronage of Mohsen bin Khamis al Balushi, advisor in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Balushi said that international organisations related to environment protection have set 2020 as the deadline for replacing chlorofluorocarbon gas with hydrocarbon gas technology.

Nidhal bin Mansour al Masharafi, director general of Manar al Noor Company said that it aims to bring hydrocarbon gas technology to the sultanate and spread awareness regarding its benefits.
