UAE- ERC implements Ramadan programme in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, 13th June, 2016 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has begun implementing its charitable and humanitarian programmes in various regions in Pakistan, including the distribution of food parcels and provision of Iftar banquets, with the follow up of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler''s Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Board of the ERC.
Hamad Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the ERC office in Islamabad, with the help of ERC staff and volunteers and in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Pakistan, is carrying-out the Iftar Project, which has so far reached 900 underprivileged children and widows.
The ERC in Islamabad organises a daily Iftar banquet for 200 of its employees and their children.
