Kuwait Steel, Americana record 'impressive' wins

(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Spanish School is now ranked second among twelve professional footballers of various nationalities who are participating in the late Abdullah Mishari Al-Roudhan Ramadan Indoor Football Tournament.

The 27th edition of the tournament has attracted seven professional footballers from Spain, which is the second highest after Brazil that has players in most the competing teams.

The sixth day matches saw stiff competition between the Brazilian and Spanish players. The Al-Nasr Club of the UAE drew 1-1 with Dar Al-Muhammadiyah, while the Brazilian star-studded Kuwait Steel whitewashed the Al-Kuwaiti Team 4-0. The Americana took Balagha to the cleaners in a game that ended in 7-0.

The Spanish coach of Al-Nasr of the UAE Pablo said he is satisfied with the performance of his team so far, saying it is a glaring fact that Al-Nasr is the team to beat in the tournament.

He indicated the team wasted many scoring opportunities while scoring first before the opponent drew level with them.

He hopes to compensate for this during subsequent matches. He commended on the successful organization of the tournament, noting that the tournament contributes immensely to indoor football in the Arabian Gulf.
