UAE- ERC hosts mass Iftar in Lebanon

BEIRUT, 11th June, 2016 (WAM) -- The Attache for humanitarian and development affairs at the UAE Embassy in Beirut, supervised a mass Iftar hosted by the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) last Thursday..

The mass iftar, which part of the Ifatr Project, was attended by 500 persons, including the displaced Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian families. The event was also attended by Mussalam Al Mansouri, Director of the Humanitarian and Developmental Assistance at the UAE Embassy in Beirut.

Al Mansouri highlighted the merits of the holy month of Ramadan as a way to spread values of love and tolerance. He also stressed that the mass Iftar is part of a series of other Iftars being held on a daily basis in Lebanon and funded by a number of UAE charitable organisations.
