Saudi to privatize postal system by 2017


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia will start privatizing its postal system by start of 2017, as proclaimed telecommunications minister.

Furthermore, the kingdom plans to privatize firms and services in many areas, from health care to housing and municipal government to boost efficiency.

Saudi Postal Corp will be one of the first to be offered to investors, while the government also aims to make a postal holding firm.

On the other hand, authorities are studying issues like how much of Saudi Postal would be sold and whether the stake would be offered to the public.
