Qatar- Russia, Jordan Discuss Efforts to Revive Peace Process


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Moscow, June 09 (QNA) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday met Jordan''s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Nasser Judeh, for talks on the latest developments in the Middle East and ways to address them, the official Jordanian news agency Petra reported.

The two ministers discussed efforts to revive the peace process, the latest of which were the French initiative and Paris meeting. They also touched on international efforts to fight terrorism and extremism, which pose a threat to the global security and stability.

In addition, the two officials discussed the latest developments in Syria and efforts to find a political solution to the crisis. They also reviewed developments in Iraq, Yemen and Libya and efforts aimed at reaching political settlements for these issues. (QNA)
