Qatar- Emir holds talks with Kuwait Emir
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani with Emir of Kuwait H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah at Dasman Palace in Kuwait City yesterday.
Kuwait: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met the Emir of Kuwait H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah at Dasman Palace in Kuwait yesterday.
They exchanged greetings and congratulations on the occasion of Ramadan, and reviewed relations between the two brotherly countries and means of developing and promoting them in different fields.
The two sides also exchanged views on issues that serve the interests of the two brotherly countries and support the GCC joint action in the face of current challenges, as well as Arab and international issues and issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by
H H Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Special Representative of the Emir, and members of the delegation accompanying the Emir.
On the Kuwaiti side, the meeting was attended by Crown Prince Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Speaker of National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al Ghanim, Prime Minister Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.
The Emir attended Iftar banquet hosted by the Emir of Kuwait in honour of the Emir and his delegation.
Earlier, the Emir arrived in Kuwait City for a short fraternal visit.
The Emir was welcomed at Kuwait International Airport by the Emir of Kuwait, the Crown Prince, the National Assembly Speaker, Deputy Chairman of the National Guard Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Prime Minister, sheikhs, ministers, senior officials, Qatari Ambassador to Kuwait Hamad bin Ali Al Henzab, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Qatar Mutib Saleh Al Mutawtah and members of the Qatari Embassy in Kuwait.
Later, the Emir left Kuwait City and arrived home at night.
The Emir and his delegation were seen off at Kuwait International Airport by the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, ministers and senior officials, Qatari Ambassador to Kuwait, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Qatar and members of the Qatari Embassy in Kuwait.
